What's the plan? Good question. Head out in an RV with an 8 and 4 year old to explore the country and see what happens. About half of the trip is planned and the rest is up for grabs. This all began when my parents invited us and my brother Mike's family to go to a horse ranch in Montana for a week in the summer. Great! We were up for it.
Then we thought, let's fly out a week early and rent an RV and do Yellowstone National Park. Then we made the mistake of going to an RV show to show the girls what an RV actually is since we were going to be renting one and they were pretty excited about the trip.
Well, a few things fell into place and since our business goes where we go, and we have customers all over the country anyway, we figured, let's take the whole summer and really explore. Let's face it, in a few short years the kids aren't going to want to spend 8 weeks in a box on wheels with Mom and Dad. Right now, they think having us to themselves is simply the best thing in the world, and we couldn't agree more. So we bought the RV, packed it up, left our beloved dog Moxie in the care of the grandparents, dropped off our fish Candy and Lollipop at a friend's and said good-bye to Tiverton, RI!
Some planned destinations for the trip are Niagra Falls, ON, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and Flathead Lake Ranch in MT. Seattle and Vancouver are on the list as well. (and of course, we will head home to RI) Stay tuned...who knows where we will end up next!
Thanks for sharing the adventure!
